Beardies of the World
Proud Beardies of the World are we,
A noble breed, both bright and brawn.
Though herding sheep was man's decree,
We thrive on love and friendship strong.
In shaggy cloaks, brown, slate, and black;
Some "tri," some blue, "all-white," and fawn.
Born to run and bounce 'n' bark;
To "seize the day" from disk 'til dawn.
O'er craggy hills; near balmy sea;
In deep winter's snow; 'neath desert sun;
'Tis captured here for you to view:
The Bearded Life, such joy, such fun!
On sun-scorched shores; by ice-bound bay;
From North, Due-South, Far-East and West.
From Aussie-land to the U.S.A.
To love and be loved — our daily quest.
You'll find us at our work and play,
Wee pups, wise "vets," 'cross oceans wide.
In Finland, Wales, and Germany;
There's Swedes, Canucks, Norwegians, too;
Lush English fields, heathered Scottish glens;
Even Beards in Sports; the Brave Rescued;
Conformation, and Obedience.
And happy Houdini, rescued from Greece,
Saved by an angel, dear Mazie Blanks.
He's now found a home of joy and peace;
In Germany — our heartfelt thanks!
A poster-montage inside these folds:
A tribute to our cherished friends,
Who at Rainbow Bridge now rest their souls
This quiet haven at journey's end.
Beardie-owned folks are a Special Breed,
Linked by friendship the whole world o'er.
They help each other in times of need,
Their Bouncing Beasties they so adore.
This calendar's our treasure-trove,
More dazzling than Crown Jewel... or gold!
Our shining star, this gift of love.
