Mickey
Mickey was born on January 5, 1984. She's a black and white Beeardie and her pedigree name is House High Rank's Power Queen. Her sire is JKC CH Unicorn-Aellen's MacGregor who was newly imported from US then, and her dam is Bianca of California Field. It was two years after we got married when we got the pup from our friend breeder and named her Mickey. We don't have any kids. Mickey has been our daughter. When she was a pup my husband and I woke up every 3 hours in turns to make her pee. We loved and took care of her as if she were a human baby.
We've taken her everywhere we've gone. When she was younger, she was quite a tomboy. When she saw something she didn't like such as skateboards, she got excited and chewed the car interior, such as seats and meters. We were so embarrassed when we took our car for repair. But everything is a good memory now. We change our cars every 5 years and the car we just bought is the 5th car for Mickey. She loves to ride in the car and even now she never fails to go out with me when I drive to the nearby station to pick my husband up.
Mickey is now 18 years old. It was our great pleasure that she could make it to the All-Japan Beardie Bounce last May. She can't hear, see, or walk much because of her age. But when I made a round wwith her alongside with 67 other younger Beardies at the bounce, though she walked much more slowly than others, we shed tears with joy.
Now she sleeps a lot, but still goes for a walk when it's cool. We let her eat whatever she feels like. We are so thankful to Mickey that she has stayed with us this long and has left us lots of wonderful memories. We hope to spend as much time as possible with her.
Thank you for selecting Mickey's picture for the calendar.
